aiya – THE TEA

aiya – THE TEA is the oldest Matcha brand in Europe and the premium Matcha brand of Teepapst GmbH: first-class organic Matcha from Japan, for private customers as well as for the catering industry.

The Matcha comes from Kagoshima Prefecture in southern Japan, one of the most important growing regions for organic Matcha. After harvesting, the shaded leaves are processed into Tencha and then ground into Matcha. Thomas M. Grömer, the Teepapst, established the aiya – THE TEA brand in Europe over 30 years ago and has been responsible for the selection and quality testing of the teas ever since.
